Las Iguanas | Birmingham

It's happy hour every hour, every day at Las Iguanas and their vegan and veggie menu make it even better.

Las Iguanas has a Latin American theme, offering fajitas, tapas, salads, burgers and a whole lot more and the best part? They have a Veggie & Vegan Menu and quite an impressive one at that. None of this 'one token vegan dish', but many dishes that either are vegan, or can be altered to a suit a vegan diet.

After a few cocktails at the bar, I went for the Three Mushroom Fajita which came out unassembled, with four small tortillas, three small bowls of Guacamole, Salsa and JalapeƱos and a hot tray of the Mushrooms, Onions and Peppers. I also had a side of Holy Guacamole because you can never have enough guac and that, like the fajitas was a 'make your own' sort of situation, with tomatoes, onion, coriander and lime to add to the avocado, served with delicious dusted corn chips.

Since my first visit to Las Iguanas, I've been back a handful of times but with so many other restaurants offering vegan options now, I haven't gone back for a while. That's something that definitely needs to change soon though because their guac is to die for.
